The plant is native to North America and has long been used by Indigenous peoples for purification, prayers, and even fumigation. It has a distinct sage scent, but to the nose of The Dragon, it is stronger but less acrid than other sages. Although it is widely available in whole form, finding it powdered is a little more rare.
